Instructions for Use
1. Preparation and Hygiene
Before using your Impound device for the first time, it is essential to clean all components thoroughly to ensure safe and hygienic wear.
-
Cleaning: Wash the cage body, the base rings, and the locking pins with warm water and an unperfumed anti-bacterial soap, or a specialised sex toy cleaner.
-
Drying: Pat all parts completely dry with a clean, lint-free towel.
2. Selecting the Base Ring
Your Impound cage comes with 3 different sizes of base rings. Choosing the correct size is vital for both security and comfort.
-
Test the Fit: Before assembling the cage, test the base rings individually. The ring needs to sit comfortably but snugly behind the testicles and at the base of the penis. It should not be so tight that it pinches or restricts blood flow, nor so loose that the device can easily slip off.
3. Assembly and Fitting
Take your time when fitting the device, ensuring you are completely flaccid before attempting to put it on.
-
Unlock the Device: Use one of the 2 included keys to unlock the built-in locking mechanism at the top of the cage. Separate the main cage body from the base ring.
-
Lubricate: Apply a water-based lubricant to the penis, scrotum, and the inside of the chosen base ring. This makes the fitting process much smoother and helps prevent chafing.
-
Fit the Base Ring: Gently feed the scrotum, one testicle at a time, through the base ring. Then, guide the flaccid penis through the ring so that the ring rests flush against the body.
-
Attach the Cage: Place the main cage body over the penis. Align the top hinge or connecting joints of the cage with the corresponding slots on the base ring.
-
Lock it in Place: Push the lock core down or snap the mechanism shut (depending on your specific model) and turn the key to secure the cage to the ring. Remove the key and double-check that the device is securely locked.
4. Safe Usage Guidelines
-
Lubrication: Always use a high-quality water-based lubricant. Avoid silicone-based lubricants, as prolonged exposure may degrade the plastic or resin materials over time.
-
Hygiene During Wear: If worn for extended periods, daily hygiene is crucial. You can wash through the ventilation slots of the cage in the shower using warm water and a mild, unperfumed soap. Ensure you rinse thoroughly to prevent soap build-up, which can cause skin irritation.
-
Monitoring: Regularly check the skin for any signs of pinching, severe discolouration, or swelling. If you experience any pain, numbness, or extreme discomfort, unlock and remove the device immediately.
-
Key Management: Keep the keys in a safe, accessible place. It is highly recommended that the wearer always has access to an emergency key, or that the keyholder is nearby, in case the device needs to be removed quickly for medical reasons.
5. Cleaning and Storage
-
Post-Wear Cleaning: Once unlocked and removed, fully disassemble the cage and base ring. Wash all components thoroughly with warm, soapy water, using a cotton bud or small brush to clean inside the ventilation slots and the lock mechanism.
-
Storage: Ensure the device and the lock core are completely dry before storing to prevent rust or mechanism failure. Store the cage, base rings, and keys together in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Disposal Instructions
1. Material Identification: These devices are constructed from mixed materials. The main cage and base rings are made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic, while the removable padlock and the two included keys are made from metal.
2. Cleaning & Disassembly: * Cleaning: Before disposal, ensure the product is thoroughly cleaned. Wash the plastic components with warm water and a mild antibacterial soap or toy cleaner to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination of waste streams.
-
Disassembly: It is crucial to separate the materials before disposal. Remove the metal padlock and keys from the plastic cage.
3. Disposal:
-
Metal Components (Padlock & Keys): Metal is highly recyclable. You can take the padlock and keys to the scrap metal skip at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC). Some local councils may also allow small metal items in your kerbside recycling bin, so it is worth checking your local guidelines.
-
ABS Plastic Components: ABS is a “hard plastic” and is not typically accepted in standard kerbside recycling schemes alongside your everyday plastic bottles. You can check if your local HWRC has a dedicated skip for rigid/hard plastics. If not, you will need to dispose of the plastic cage and rings in your general household waste bin. Ensure they are securely wrapped in an opaque bag or newspaper to maintain your privacy.
4. Packaging:
-
Cardboard Box: The outer cardboard packaging can be recycled with your regular council paper and cardboard collection.
-
Internal Packaging: Any internal plastic bags, blister packs, or inserts should be checked for recycling symbols. If they are accepted by your council, dispose of them in your plastics recycling bin; otherwise, place them in general waste.
5. Environmental Considerations: Always aim to minimise waste by considering the environmental impact. Because this is an intimate product, donating or reselling it is strictly not recommended for health and hygiene reasons. Taking the extra step to separate the recyclable metal padlock and keys from the non-recyclable plastic ensures that at least part of the product is diverted from landfill, making it the most responsible disposal method.
By following these instructions, you can help ensure that your Impound Chastity Device is disposed of responsibly, minimising its environmental impact.
Important Safety Warnings for Your Impound Chastity Device
To ensure a safe, hygienic, and comfortable experience with your Impound Cock Cage, please read and strictly adhere to the following safety guidelines. Chastity devices carry unique risks, particularly regarding long-term wear and circulation, so please review these points carefully.
1. Sizing and Blood Circulation (Crucial):
-
Finding the Right Fit: It is vital to use the correct size base ring. The device should fit snugly but must never cause pain, throbbing, or severely restrict blood flow.
-
Circulation Warning: If you experience any loss of sensation, numbness, significant swelling, coldness, or a blue/purple colouration in the tissue, unlock and remove the device immediately.
-
Swelling: Bear in mind that genitals naturally change size and can swell during wear. What fits comfortably in the morning may become uncomfortably tight later in the day.
2. Pinching Hazards:
-
Assembly Caution: Be extremely careful when fitting the cage and securing the locking mechanism. Genital skin is delicate and very stretchy; it is highly susceptible to getting pinched between the base ring, cage, or locking pins. Take your time during application.
3. Hygiene and Daily Maintenance:
-
Daily Cleaning: Because chastity cages are often worn for extended periods, trapping sweat, dead skin, and trace amounts of urine, meticulous daily hygiene is non-negotiable.
-
Washing: Wash thoroughly with warm water and a mild, unscented antibacterial soap while showering. You can use a soft-bristled brush (like a dedicated toothbrush) to clean inside the ventilation slits and locking mechanism.
-
Drying: Ensure the area and the device are completely dry after washing. Trapped moisture can quickly lead to fungal infections, chafing, or bacterial build-up.
4. Emergency Access and Key Management:
-
Spare Keys: The Impound cages come with two keys. Always keep the spare key in a safe, instantly accessible location in case of an emergency (such as sudden swelling, injury, or needing to remove it for a medical scan).
-
Never throw away the keys unless you have a safe, tested, and reliable emergency removal method.
5. Long-Term Wear Protocol:
-
Build Up Gradually: If you are new to chastity, do not attempt to wear the device 24/7 right away. Start with a few hours at a time and gradually increase the duration to allow your body to adapt to the pressure and confinement.
-
Sleep: Wearing a rigid cage while sleeping can be dangerous due to nocturnal erections, which can cause severe pain and temporary tissue damage. Approach sleep-wear with extreme caution.
6. Lubrication and Skin Protection:
-
Water-Based Lube: Use a generous amount of high-quality water-based lubricant during application to prevent chafing.
-
Skin Care: For long-term wear, some users find that a specialised chafing cream or a light dusting of talc-free body powder helps reduce friction around the base ring.
7. Inspection and Material Care:
-
Check for Damage: Regularly inspect the hard plastic/resin cage for any hairline cracks, sharp edges, or broken hinges. A broken cage can cause severe cuts or pinch injuries. If damaged, discontinue use immediately.
-
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving the device in direct, intense sunlight or near extreme heat sources, as this can warp the rigid plastic over time.
8. Adult Use and Responsible Disposal:
-
Not a Toy: This is a serious adult novelty item. Keep it completely out of reach of children and pets.
-
Disposal: If the product breaks or you no longer need it, it should be disposed of in your general household waste (securely wrapped), as mixed hard plastics and locking mechanisms are rarely accepted by standard council recycling schemes.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your experience with the Impound Chastity range remains safe, hygienic, and enjoyable.
